Methacrylate monomer
IPEMA is a methacrylate monomer that can coexist with hardness and flexibility by the reactivity originated with the specific structure. Therefore, it is expected to contribute to combining scratch and crack resistance, which is required for surface protection of plastic parts of the automotive exterior. DPNG and IPEMA, which suppress oxygen inhibition, will improve curability and productivity when poor curing oxygen inhibition is present in the UV curing process.
Interior
Synthetic leather
Kuraray's diols and polyols are used with the materials of synthetic leathers. It is highly evaluated in automotive interior applications that blanched methyl group of MPD impart flexibility and abrasion resistance.
